Modern tasteful decor and fittings, nice deep bathtub, full Sky TV package (History, BBC Earth etc), good size TV, super comfy bed, couch to watch TV on with side table as well as work desk, big bathroom dispensers (less waste, cute in-sink built one for paper towels), the staff kindly letting me store bicycle in lobby's storeroom and finding me an eatery still open late night on arrival, general cleanliness, good air con, pretty quiet over Easter weekend, teas plus hot chocolate for late night cupper, location (on a bike quick scoot down and short healthy workout up Boulcott St), drink water glasses in bathroom (tap water tasting OK).

We loved the central location, especially as you can go straight down onto Lambton Quay without having to walk around (even though the maps tell you that is what you should do!). For 5 nights it got a little cramped with 4 of us in a room, but we coped. Room was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

Stayed for three nights as part of our five week tour of New Zealand. The room on the third floor was comfortable and quiet. Room service came on a daily basis to top up the basics and do the necessary tasks required of housekeeping. The lifts operated well within the hotel but it was slightly inconvenient that the lift down to Lambton Quay closed at 7:30pm.

Greeting was great they couldn't do enough for us. Our room on arrival wasn't ready, I think we arrived at 330pm when we were told room be ready at 2pm but we were offered drinks at the bar but then was told it had just been finished and they were sorry so no problem just reception was honest and lovely people

Myles

I like everything. The hotel, how kind the staff are, the free food, how clean and tidy the room is. The gym and play area too, but the best of everything is the view. Many buildings and businesses infont of the hotel, how quite and peaceful it is.
